European U/18 or European U/20 Championships in 2021

Dear Athletes

Hope you are well and continuing to cope in these tough times

Just a gentle reminder, if you are targeting either European U/20 or European U/18 championships this summer (I attach the European Athletics Minimum entry standards which is the minimum level required for entry).

When AAI Selection policies are published (soon I hope), the standards you will need for selection may be slightly higher in some events, but these give you an idea of standards needed.

Please remember to fill out the NTDF form on AAI website https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdPTzzYACVPYwuMUzyyu_aKTiwtGQPSCcA-0_0wAQE_bwR4CA/viewform as soon as possible.

Also please remember, all athletes are now required to complete the European Athletics Anti-doping Education Programme.

Athletics Ireland will not be able to enter any athletes into the European U20, European U23 or European U/18 Championships without their Certification number to prove they have completed the programme so it is imperative that all athletes must have this competed prior to Selection.

Athletics Ireland is asking all athletes who hope to compete in 2021 European U/18s or European U20s or European U23s to complete the online programme.

To complete this please go to www.irunclean.org, sign up and you will then be brought through the 8 interactive modules. It will take about 30-40minutes to complete and can be done on a computer, tablet or smart phone.  (it doesn’t have to be done all in one go). When you have finished you will be able to download a diploma which will have your unique certification number which you will need to keep. Please note, you will need to refresh your I Run Clean Diploma every two years.

We would encourage parents and coaches to complete as well.

We have attached a leaflet from European Athletics that explains the I RUN CLEAN Programme.
